Ottawa (June 23, 2011): The World Sikh Organization of Canada remembers the victims of the1985 Air India tragedy which took the livesof 331 innocent victims.

The bombing of Air India flight 182 was an incomprehensible tragedy.  So many innocent lives were lost, including accomplished humanitarians, scientists, artists, and community activists.  Sikhs across Canada mark the event every year with prayers in Gurdwaras.<--break->

WSO supports the key recommendations of Justice John Major’s Air India Report (WSO was an intervener at the Air India Inquiry) and calls on the Canadian Government to ensure that the recommended measures are quickly implemented.
