Apply below for a 2025 Sikh Student Association (SSA) Grant offered by the World Sikh Organization of Canada (WSO).
Grants offer an SSA up to $500 in funding for events held during the 2025–2026 academic year.
A separate application form must be submitted for each event. The purpose of the grants is to increase collaboration between SSAs, support higher caliber events, and encourage community engagement. WSO is here to provide guidance on budgeting and collaboration.
SSAs are encouraged to collaborate on events. Joint event allow each participating SSA to contribute a portion of their own $500 annual grant. This combined funding approach supports higher-impact events and strengthens inter-campus engagement. Each SSA must submit their own separate application. The "Event Name" stated must be the same so that the WSO team can match the applications.
Grant Process:
- Submit the Grant Application and wait for approval.
- Collaborate with other SSAs
Funds must be drawn equally from each SSAs grant. - Execute the Event
WSO must approve any event and promotional materials where the WSO logo appears. - Submit a post-event report with your feedback.
Share outcome, attendance, key learnings, how you collaborated, and suggestions for how we can improve the grant experience.
Grant disbursements will be administered after the SSA submits its post-event report and all related receipts. If your SSA requires early access to funds, you can request this in the application. Early disbursements may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
