As a charge of second degree murder is laid against a former Surrey temple president in the death of his wife, the World Sikh Organization is issuing a call to action.
“I felt heartbreaking, when I’m talking to you, tears come to my eyes.”
BC representative Jasbir Kaur Randhawa says the Sikh community is shaken by the death of Narinder Kaur Kalsi, who was taken off life support Sunday following an alleged domestic dispute last week.
She urges other victims of violence in the home to come forward.
“We have several trained psychologists and counsellors in our network who are willing to help. Early intervention in the key, sometimes people don’t understand the early intervention.”
Baldev Singh Kalsi, 66-years-old, is now charged with second degree murder.
