2009: Kirpan Accommodation at Olympics/Paralympics

In 2009, WSO worked with the Vancouver 2010 Integrated Security Unit (V2010 ISU) to develop kirpan accommodations at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympics Games.

The V2010 ISU’s progressive policy accommodating the kirpan and partnership with WSO kept the spirit of mutual understanding and celebration of diversity at the forefront.
