'India's Justice System Shows Some Signs of life!' (August 29, 2008)

The WSO is comforted to know that the High Court in India has sentenced 4 men to life in prison on charges of rioting, murder and conspiracy relating to the deaths of two Sikhs who had their properties looted and were burnt alive on November 1, 1984 in India’s capital, New Delhi. Eighteen years earlier, a trial court had acquitted these men for lack of evidence. See the full press release
