Getting Work Done - December 2018 Update

I am always amazed when looking back on the month that was and seeing all the great work we accomplished over the previous 4 weeks.

It is sometimes tough to notice how much is being accomplished as you are in the thick of things and working hard with a wonderful team of staff, board members, volunteers, and supporters.

I have been involved with the WSO in an official capacity for about 5 years now, so our ability to string together big wins really doesn't surprise me anymore but still does leave me in awe of how powerful a collection of committed individuals with the community support can be.

I know we do great work representing Sikhs across Canada every single day, whether that is winning another accommodation legal battle, helping a person in need through our Sikh Family Helpline or watching one of our Sikh Youth Leadership Institute alumni doing great things.

We are very proud of our track record, and as we are nearing the end of 2018 we will be reaching back into the archives to share with you over the next couple of weeks some of our big achievements from this year.

Third party advocacy like ours is very important - nothing is more powerful than the community's voice from the grassroots. There are no substitutes for boots on the ground working day and night for the community.
